NON-DENOMINATIONAL
|
Grace Church is a non-denominational
church. We are not bound by rules, regulations, and tradition that
others before us and in other places have fostered. We are creating
our own tradition, forging a legacy of love and service as we remain
open to the moving of the Holy Spirit within our corporate life. Our
worship services thus may vary, containing elements — including
music — of both the traditional and the contemporary.
|
Sacraments
|
Grace Church observes two sacraments: baptism and holy communion.
Because we at Grace Church believe baptism is a profession of faith,
we do not baptize infants since they are unable to profess their
faith. Instead, we dedicate babies to Christ and pledge our support
as a community to helping the children grow in their faith until
they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and profess
publicly for themselves their faith.
|
Ministry
|
At Grace Church, everyone is a minister of Jesus Christ. We
expect every member to participate in some area of ministry.
|
Maturity
|
At Grace Church, we seek to develop mature disciples of Christ.
We expect every member to be constantly studying God’s word and
taking advantage of educational opportunities the church makes
available.
|
People
|
Grace Church seeks to emulate the Family of God, which comes in
all races, all ethnicities, and all economic and social strata.
|
Purpose
|
Everything at Grace Church is aimed at furthering one or more of
Grace’s five basic purposes: worship, fellowship, ministry,
evangelism, and discipleship. If an activity does not further one of
these purposes, Grace Church will not commit to it.
|
| Origin |
Grace Church was formed in December 2003 by a group of committed
Christians seeking an authentic worship experience and a loving,
caring environment.
|
Saved
by Grace through Faith
|
Grace Church is a family, a community with a common belief in
Jesus Christ as the savior of the world. We are saved and destined
for eternal glory because of our faith in Jesus, not because of
anything we have done, anything we own, any influence or power we
have, or because we are better than anyone else.
|
Love
|
Grace Church is a place where love lives, where we openly share
our love for Jesus Christ, for each other, and for all people. We
support each other in all ways possible and encourage each other to
live in joy, in peace, and in confidence, the way God meant us to
live.
