Juanita was privileged to be born and raised on a farm in the small South Georgia town of Whigham, and she can often be found back there for a short weekend visiting family and taking care of the family property.  She graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Administration and obtained a Master’s of Education from Mercer University.  Juanita has worked for the Houston County Board of Education for a number of years, in addition to raising her children and later caring for three of her grandchildren in their formative years.  She is currently employed part-time at Langston Road Primary School.
Juanita married Greg Lewis in 1981;  they have two daughters and six grandchildren.  They lived in various places during Greg’s active duty years in the United States Air Force.  At every assignment, they always found a church home and served in a number of capacities in each church.  Juanita has spent many years teaching kids in Sunday School or Vacation Bible School and serving as a leader in the Awana organization, both in the local church and on the regional Awana Ministry Board. 
Juanita and Greg have been attending Grace Church since 2018, and Juanita has been volunteering in Children’s Ministry for most of that time.  She began filling in as the interim Children’s Director in 2023.  As Grace Church moves forward in ministering to families, our desire is for Grace kids to know God, love Jesus, and learn to follow Him.
