Who is Exalted?
Who is exalted?
The text of this week’s sermon is Isaiah 2:1-4:6 which you can read HERE. As you prepare for Sunday, take some time to read and pray with the scripture. Ask God for His wisdom and understanding as you read.
You may wish to:
"I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart;
before the gods I sing your praise;
I bow down toward your holy temple
and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness,
for you have exalted above all things
your name and your word.
On the day I called, you answered me;
my strength of soul you increased"
Psalm 138
Grace Discipleship – Pray for the leaders of our church
Our Most Gracious Heavenly Father,
Today we offer our prayer to you for the leaders of Grace Church – for our pastor, our elders, and our ministry board. Protect them, we pray, and help them to walk so closely with Christ that they lead with the mind and the heart of Christ – in all wisdom, discernment, love, integrity, mercy, grace, and compassion. May they rely on the guidance of Your Holy Spirit and grant them strength and courage in their decision-making so that they lead the church in a manner that pleases You and brings glory to Your Name.
In the Holy Name of Jesus we pray, Amen. – Julia Nell Shaw

You may wish to:
- Re-read Isaiah 1:17. What verbs are used in this verse? What must Israel (we) learn?
- Read Isaiah 2:3. Who is the teacher? Who are the students? How will they learn?
- Read verses 2:11 & 2:17. Repetition emphasizes importance. What is important? What is the sin? Who will be exalted?
- Read verse 2:22. Who is exalted?
- Read verse 3:5. What is the sin? Who is exalted?
- Read verse 3:14-16. What are the sins? Who is exalted?
- Read chapter 4. Who is exalted?
