•Study a gospel. Ask these questions:
What truth is revealed in the passage?
What does the passage reveal about my spiritual life?
What does the passage teach you about how to act or respond?
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
for thine is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever, Amen.
Thanksgiving
- What am I especially grateful for in the past week . . .
- The gift of another week
- The love and support I have received...
- The courage I have mustered...
- Friends and family
- God, help me to know you and see myself as you see me.
- Where have I felt true joy?
- What has troubled me?
- What has challenged me?
- Where and when did I pause?
- Have I noticed God's presence?
- What is my response to God, my Heavenly Father?
- As I look ahead, what comes to mind?
- With what spirit do I want to enter next week?
