Restoration & Remnant

Isaiah 13:1-14:32

Take some time to read through the sermon text for this week: Isaiah 13:1-14:32
which you can read HERE.

Before you begin reading, pray and ask for God’s wisdom.

  • This is a noisy passage.  Mark each noise you notice.  What does it signal or what is making the noise?
  • What is the Lord doing in chapter 13? Make a brief list or mark your text. Look for verbs.
  • What is the Lord doing in chapter 14? Make a brief list or mark your text. Look for verbs.
  • What do we learn about restoration from these chapters?
  • What questions do you have?

Try to read the passage once or twice more before Sunday.

Grace Discipleship: Pray for unity in the church
Unity prayer (reference Psalm 133:1-3 and Eph 4:3)

Father,
We ask for the anointing oil of unity within our local body.  Just as that oil ran down Aaron’s beard and flowed down his garments, I ask for that abundant flow of unity to be present and active among us. That your blessing of sweetness would be witnessed by outsiders to see how pleasant it is to be among your people. Convict and lead us to, “Endeavour to keep the unity of the Holy Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Amen – Patrick Stogner
