Plant a Tree
The challenge yesterday was to do one act of hope each day. Embrace the day knowing that the culmination of all good things will occur. Isaiah spoke about this in Isaiah 25-27 and John reiterated these truths in Revelation 21 and 22.
Read Revelation 21 and embrace, even anticipate the wonder the Kingdom…when all things will be set right. Imagine no sadness, fear, or loneliness. To accomplish an act of hope each day is to testify to hopeless world that they matter to God.
We must pray against the temptation to cynical attitudes. Remember the best days ARE ahead. Plant a tree of hope. The future of the church is bright. Your future is secured.
Consider this truth…the tree is what we anticipate. “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” (Rev 22:1-2 ESV)
Will your hope heal? Will your tree yield fruit?
